Upcoming Performances in Montreal and San Diego

As Music Director of the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, Rafael Payare takes to the podium for several engagements this spring. Highlights include two performances with pianist Daniil Trifonov (April 20 & 21), two evenings of Bruckner 7 (May 10 & 11), a performance with Rose Naggar-Tremblay, mezzo-soprano and winner of the 2021 OSM Competition (May 12) and Beethoven’s triumphant Ninth Symphony (May 31 & June 1).

Also in May, Payare returns to his post as Music Director of the San Diego Symphony for a program of Ravel and Dewbussy with violinist Veronika Eberle (May 21 & 22). For the season finale on May 27 & 28, he leads the orchestra and cellist Alisa Weilerstein in Elgar’s Cello Concerto and Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony.
